Our PROS can:
- Abstract trauma coded charts using patient inclusion criteria, review medical records and collect the appropriate information based on national standard definitions and ACS verified methodologies
- Identify the difference between coding for reimbursement vs. ISS
- Document the abstract with all pertinent information, and calculate the Injury Severity Score appropriately
- Submit data to the National Trauma Data Bank and state registries as required by level of trauma center
- Validate data and provide IRR (inter-rater reliability) for trauma registry team
- Manage the trauma program or the trauma registry team
- Handle performance improvement including rounding with physicians as required
- Ensure data is accurate and quality derived
- Assist with trauma verifications and re-verifications
